From ancient times, people have been endlessly searching the secrets of longetivity and absolute power, for the royalty, since they had the wealth and authority to command, countless alchemists under their kingdoms concocted numerous formulae, only to render them useless.

Throughout the search for these, many lives were sacrificed, just to find ways to prolong the lives of the royal families.

"That's it! I found the correct formula!"

An alchemist, with unkempt hair, looking haggard from lack of sleep for days, had tears rolled down his cheeks. He looked really tired, but glad. Contrast to his fatigued appearance, he walked up steathily from the laboratory, and went to see the Kaiser, with a piece of brown scroll clenched onto his hand.

"Well, that's great." The kaiser smiled with a sinster look on his face. He was really eager to try out the plan the alchemist devised, but he was afraid that something dangerous will happen to himself at the same time.

The kaiser asked for the scroll, and unrolled the piece of paper. There were complicated diagrams, and cramped words, too messy to look at. But somehow, the King knew wat the alchemist was planning. There was a drawing of a huge cylindrical ring like structure with a person tied onto the centre of the ring in the scroll. Around the ring, there were inscriptions written on it, which actually represented time, space and infinity.

"That's it. Time travel. If we were to succeed, the land will all be mine." The kaiser smiled to himself.

Without further ado, he ordered the guards to arrest the alchemist...

A few days later in the people-packed parade square of the capital, a similar bronze constructed structure was situated in the centre of the square, with civilians surrounding it. The alchemist was tied onto the structure. And he was almost dying. Starved for 3 days and nights, he only drank a cup of water that particular morning before "embarking" on this journey, that could mean his death.

There were clerics positioned around the structure, with the Grand Priest of the kingdom, chanting loudly. There were certainly black magic involved, but at that time, people believed that it was a message from their God, when there was a purple aura surrounding the structure.

The alchemist started screaming hysterically, as if he was in pain. His image was fading with the presence of the aura, and his wide open eyes seemed to glow with hatred and depair.

"WHY?! WHY?! I'M .... URGH!!!!!!!!"

Before he could finish, he disappeared, followed by short loud gasps by people.

Followed by strident screams.

There was a torn piece of arm left behind, with blood oozing out from the flesh.

The king, looking from afar on the castle balcony, walked away with a evil smile from his face.

"I'm right for doing this. Sorry Dr. Millienia. Your sacrifice meant the prosperity of MY kingdom." He whispered to himself.
